1 More Thing is a very small team and it’s built on genuine love for the music and the scene, not on a publishing budget. That’s exactly why the days of advert-funded free editorial doesn’t exist anymore for independent platforms like us.
Authoritative, independant editorial coverage is an investment, the same way photography, design or PR is.
We’ve been offering this service for a while now but there were many other projects flying around at the same time so the message to the industry was never clear, my processes and lead times were less clear and it wasn’t something I’d prioritised or pushed that hard. Until now.
We’re still the same platform that goes to bat for underground talent for free when it matters — causes, community shoutouts, charity missions. Paid editorial just means the bigger asks, special moments and prestige pieces — interviews, premieres, written features — finally get the reliability they deserve too.
