Introducing MIXMAS… A celebration of the most creative and inspiring aspects of contemporary DJ culture.
Running throughout December, MIXMAS is our way of signing out 2024 in the spirit and creative mindset that brought us here in the first place: taking the music that we love and sharing it in the most creative, compelling and inspiring way possible.
Kicking off with a boundary-burning mix from EONE tomorrow, December 3, we’ll be running amazing mixes complete with deep and meaningful interviews. The DJs will range from some major league top tier maestros to brand new emergent artists. All of them share one trait – they kick ass on the controls and tell an amazing story.
And we want YOU to do the same!
The final MIXMAS mix in our 1 More Mix series will be a winning DJ from our MIXMAS competition. They will be our last featured artist on our site, Soundcloud and socials for the year. And for good measure, the winner will also play at a stand-alone 1 More Thing event in 2025*.
Fancy the sound of that? The rules are simple…
All genres welcome
The mix must be over 45 minutes long
Deadline: 18.12.24 / 18.00hrs (UK time)
Sumit your mixes to yo@1-more-thing.co.uk
That’s literally it. The rest is a blank canvas for you to spray your sonic story all over. Inspire us!
The best DJs don’t just play upfront bangers. The best DJs don’t just flex their sharpest technical chops. The best DJs take you to exciting places and have you moving to things you weren’t even sure you liked. That’s what we’re celebrating with MIXMAS, that’s what we’re looking for from you.
*Rules / Terms
The winning mix will be decided on by the 1 More Thing team. Our decision is final.
The winner will be notified on Friday December 20 / Saturday Decmber 21 via email. They will be expected to be free for an interview as soon as they can be free in order to get their mix and interview live on December 31.
The show the winner can play at will be an independent 1 More Thing event and not any festival takeover we may or may not commit to in 2025.
The show is likely to take place in the UK and the winner will be expected to make their own travel arrangements.
