The Launch Of Electrotonic

New EDM orchestra to hit the stage in June...

There’s always been a really strong crossover between electronic and orchestral music. Camo & Krooked’s Red Bull Symphonic, OrchestRAM and Pete Tong Presents Ibiza Classics are a shining example of this.

Saturday June 22 will see the world premiere of Electrotonic, an EDM orchestra which includes brass, strings, a DJ and a rhythm section.

Taking place at The Big Space, Sugar Studios, in North Greenwich, the band will perform tracks by the likes of The Chainsmokers, Wolfgang Gartner, Infected Mushroom, Benny Benassi and many more artists spanning across the EDM spectrum.

The mastermind behind the project is drummer/percussionist James Gambold, who thought the idea through fifteen months ago before putting the concept in front of a number of investors, who then backed the idea.

“I came across so many amazing tracks on my path to this orchestra. It’s been tough to whittle it down to just twenty.” James explained. “Everyone on stage is integral to the music, we’ve spent the last 8 months fine tuning everything.”

Taking Electrotonic to festival stages and overseas are a few of the aims of the project as James added, “we’d dearly love the support of music fans coming to see us. It’s been a long time getting to this point and we’re absolutely ready to share love.”

Tickets are available now via Skiddle.
