Following the release of INCANDESCENT, our biggest album to date, we’re very pleased to reveal our biggest club line-up to date: BANSHEE
A vocal-focused multi-genre carnival of flavours and vibes hosted on the eve of International Women’s Day, Friday March 6 sees us taking over Bristol’s much-loved Attic Bar for the first time. All profits raised from the event will go to Refuge.org.uk and we’re stacking an all-star troupe.
Kathika, Maddy V, Maria and Abi Nyxx will be leading the charge. They’re joined by festival favourites Rua Tui, chaos Queen Glitchgirl, an explosive b2b between NoDave & Fireworks Factory, a very special secret guest we cannot name alongside the hotly tipped singer/selector Chez and Charlie T‘s MC of choice Savvy B, Full Spectrum‘s Sekhmet and Asha Binx and Thick Boy Records‘ DJ Business Lady & Direct Debbie.
A full menu of sonic misadventures, by way of a variety of showcase performances, live PAs, DJ sets and hosting duties across the night, Kathika, Maddy V, Maria and Abi Nyxx are the focus of the night as they guide us through the madness. We couldn’t dream of better hosts as all of them are at the very top of their game….
Fresh from from voicing Skynet in the Terminator 2D game, Kathika has been slaying festivals and commanding crowds for years over a wealth of genres from bassline to burlesque. With the anthemic Lighters Up (with Rua Tui) still doing heavy rounds, and a timely reunion of her band Slamboree, 2025 was one of her most prominent years as a live performer and theatrical front woman who can whip up a crowd from nonchalant to nonsense in 0.002 seconds flat.
Multiple Best MC award winning Maddy V is equally versatile. Heavily in demand as a drum & bass MC and one third of Girls Next Door alongside Ms Pink and Mila Falls, Maddy‘s energy and lyrical dexterity has taken her to some of the biggest stages across UK and Europe and some of the most interesting MC crossover releases in recent time. Her recent grime track PTSD Pt 1, released just days ago with Glitch City, is a much more delicate and introspective track that adds yet another layer of depth to Maddy V‘s ever-expanding universe.
Then we have the phenomenon that are Dutty Moonshine Band‘s Maria and Abi Nyxx. As two of the most fierce energies on stage with one of the most popular line-up toppers in UK festival culture – a unique band that bridge the gap between festivals as seemingly disparate as Womad and Boomtown – Maria and Abi regularly play to crowds of tens of thousands, weaving their way through the roles of singer, backing singer and firesome frontwomen amid a gang of killer musicians. For BANSHEE, however, they’ll be showcasing their skills solo and shedding a whole new light on their art.
And that’s not even scratching the surface of what our headliners have in store! This is going to be a lyrical, soulful and formidable showcase of vocal-led bass music across all tempos. And it’s for a vital cause as all proceeds from the night going to Refuge.org.uk – a vital organisation who empower women to live without violence and fear – this event is a mission statement for the year ahead. If we’re not using our platform for positive change, progress and the continual breakdown of patriarchal power, greed and abuse then we’re as bad as the rest of them.
Expect more mission statements and demands for peace, positivity and equality as we continue to develop throughout 2026. As we said when we released INCANDESCENT – There is no more time to play it safe. The mainstream and its commercial structures are not here for arts, culture and societal unity. Nothing will ever move forward if we just look after our own interests.
BANSHEE is another step towards the world we want to leave for the next generations.
Tickets are available here. March 6 – 8.30 – 2am – The Attic Bar, Bristol
It’s not the first time we’ve put vocalists at the centre of our line-up. In October 2023 we hosted a vocal boat party in London with a range of MCs and vocalists including The Ragga Twins, flowanastasia, Sydney Bryce, Fathom Audio and Agman Gora. This is how it went down:
